We need
men and women with BRAIN and VISION. Where are they?
George Sabat Thank you indeed Samir for providing me with such
interesting information, while others did not bother to do so, unfortunately.
With regard to the 90 billion dollars that is expected to be still owed to the
bond holders in 2031 (if all goes according to plan), then, I have assumed that
they could be covered out of our expected revenue from oil and gas, provided
they ever materialize.
I don't know if you have noticed it, but all my
anticipations stem from the HOPE that we shall start implementing the reforms
on the 1/1/2016, with and without any consideration for oil and gas.
Lebanon
can survive, it can even prosper, WITHOUT oil and gas (God curses them both).
But, without reforms, all the oil and gas of the world will be useless (see
what is happening in Nigeria or Libya, or Irak for God's sake. Right now,
Samir, at this very moment, if only 8 and 14 decided to inter the war ax, make
peace, and work TOGETHER on Reforms, within a few months, Lebanon could be
supplying the entire Middle East with "CONSTRUCTION POWER",
"FOOD POWER". AND EDUCATION POWER".
Believe me, Samir, these
three are, today, more valuable than gas and oil. Our 2 and a half million of
"refugees" ( mainly SYRIANS AND PALESTINIANS), together with half a
million of Egyptians, Bengladeshis, and Philippinos, would be the best WORKFORCE
we could dream of to export the three POWERS I mentioned above to a region that
is badly in need for all three of them.
Our shortsighted leaders who are bemoaning the presence of these "refugees" in our
country do not know its TRUE VALUE to Lebanon, at the present time.
The
shortsighted Shias are afraid of the large number of Sunnis, but they do not
realize that the real problem is no longer "RELIGIOUS" "it is
"ECONOMIC". We must all EAT TOGETHER, and now is the time and the
opportunity for it in Lebanon.
We need a totally different PLAN now, but for
this we need men and women with BRAINS and VISION. Where
are they?
