George Sabat Yes indeed dr. Karam.
Why is that? And when will our economists venture to give their frank opinion
on the subject? Why does'nt Marcel Ghanem open a discussion on a topic that
could save us $114 billion dollars in twenty years, if the rate of 6.50% was
reduced by 2% only.
Why we do not hear from any of our five or six
previous and current finance Ministers on the subject? Why are they silent and
"Samiteen", upon a subject that concerns the very survival of six
million Lebanese citizens?
If the recommended approach is wrong,
according to you, gentlemen, why don't you say so and explain to us, poor
economic illiterates, why it is unacceptable, and what would be the
consequences of adopting it?
Kindly tell us where and how we are
wrong in proposing this alternative
